_______________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________ The National Powerboat Association (NPBA) sanctioned Stu Hayim’s RECORD RUN AROUND LONG ISLAND today as a cancer fundraiser for the Don Monti Cancer Research Center. His elapsed time was 2 hours and 15 minutes...not enough to break the existing record time of 2 hours and 11 minutes...which he established in 2012. A momentary high speed of 175 mph was attained during the 271 mile marathon run. Watch for soon-to-come videos of this run.

At 31, Stuart beat Cancer and then set out to conquer the world of Offfshore Powerboat Racing. He not only became one of the premier Offshore Champions of all time, but dedicated all of his winnings to Cancer Research, right back to the institution that saved his life, the Don Monti Memorial Research Foundation. A successful Long Island businessman, now in his mid seventies, 25 years after retiring from competition, he continues to invent records to break, all to raise awareness and donate money to Cancer Research.
