NATIONAL POWERBOAT ASSOCIATION


In solidarity with High Performance Powerboat events on Long Island, we are forgoing the running of the Manhasset Bay Gold Cup Powerboat Poker Run this August 25th, 2007 to support the Offshore Powerboat Race taking place on the Great South Bay out of Patchogue, NY on Sunday, August 26th, 2007.   We will then continue with our annual powerboat event schedule on Long Island Sound so we will run the GLEN COVE POWERBOAT POKER RUN on September 29th  with a $5,000.00 Purse.  The run is based out of Steamboat Landing Restaurant, Glen Cove, NY.

Five cash prizes will be awarded; $2,500.00 for 1st, $1,000.00 for 2nd, $500.00 for 3rd, 4th, and 5th each respectively. Additional Trophies will be presented for “Best Navigators” for Cats and V’s, “Best Looking Boat”, and “Best Looking Crew”.

Boats will arrive on Friday, September 28th and we will have an “a la carte” Party on Friday Night with an Awards’ Party (included in your entry fee) for Saturday Afternoon which will include food, soda, beer, and wine…and a lot of “talk” about the run I’m sure. The entry fee is $500.00 and you get 2 hands in the game and 4 tickets for the Saturday afternoon Award’s Party. Additional tickets will be available for $25.00 each.

We will fly the helicopter for videos and photos.    

    So lets all go to the Boat Race to support the participants on August 26th and then rally to the GLEN COVE POWERBOAT POKER RUN on September 29th  and show them how the Powerboat Poker Runners’ do it!


The New York City Powerboat Poker Run, The Manhasset Bay Gold Cup Powerboat Poker Run and The Glen Cove Hi-Stakes Powerboat Poker Run and Radar Run are produced by the National Powerboat Association.
